WK Awards

Na afloop van de WK finale maakte de FIFA de Awards bekend. Captain van de USA, Carli Lloyd, won de Golden Ball Award, oftewel Beste Speelster van het Toernooi (foto). USA Doelvrouw Hope Solo werd beste keepster van het toernooi. Duitse speelster Celia Sasic werd topschutter met 6 goals, maar die scoorde Carli Lloyd ook! 03-07-2015: Nominaties

De FIFA maakte donderdag de verkorte lijsten bekend wie de beste speelster van het toernooi zal zijn, de beste keepster en de beste jongste speelster. Op de lijsten staan helaas geen Oranje Leeuwinnen.
Japanse speelster Homara Sawa (foto rechts) won deze in 2011 te Duitsland.
